In a Pickle is an interactive theater piece for young audiences. Co-presented by BAMkids and Lincoln Center Kids, this piece comes from the United Kingdom, an Oily Cart production first commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

About the Show

Written and originally directed by Tim Webb
Directed by Patrick Lynch
Ages 2—5
Run Time: 55min

Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, this innovative theater piece takes children on a voyage of discovery through Shakespeare's imagination and the music of his language. When a shepherdess and her flock of little sheep discover a lost baby, the audience must join in the search for the child’s family, a journey that will take them through the forest and across the sea. Full of scents, textures, colors, and songs, this immersive sensory experience is sure to delight and inform younger audiences about the power of their own imaginations.

“This is a lovingly lavish production which could just produce a new generation of Shakespeare lovers.”

—The Journal (UK)
